Steve is one of the Rocky Mountain West's most trusted corporate and crisis public relations advisors, with more than three decades experience across a wide range of issues and industries.
Since returning to his native Colorado 26 years ago, Steve has counseled and represented clients including American Humane Association, Candelas, Chipotle Mexican Grill, CSG International, Denver International Airport, EAS, Fox News, Lions Club International, Cherry Creek Shopping Center, Noble Energy, Red Robin, Vail Resorts, Verio, many law firms, new ventures, international charities and universities.
Steve has held strategic communications titles at two Fortune 500 companies, the Pentagon, with two of the world's largest PR firms and as founding president of a successful telecom/technology PR agency. His corporate communications expertise draws from a significant history of new ventures, civil lawsuits and criminal cases, M&A events, reorganizations, IPOs and issues initiatives.
Steve is the creator of SilversJacobson's Reputation Asset Management Platform (RAMP), a uniquely pragmatic strategic communications approach that helps clients prepare for if not avoid altogether the potential damage of controversy and crisis scenarios -- especially the ones that nobody saw coming.
A U.S. Army veteran and award-winning military journalist, Steve majored in photojournalism at Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications. He's a 1998 Leadership Denver graduate and served on the board of directors for the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation.
